Fibreno leather goods – colour for your life
Ad| Fibreno is a Seoul-based leather brand. I personally love all things colourful which explains how I found their colourful handbags and leather goods. The designer Iris Lim was so kind as to talk to me about Fibreno leather goods.
Iris, since when does Fibreno exist and what is the brands’ philosophy?
Fibreno was established in May 2013, in Seoul at Changdukgung palace road. We offer necessity products with diverse colours, in minimal design and use of synthetic high-quality leather.
The label is named after a street in Rome, Italy. Are there any relations to Italy?
Yes, Fibreno is the street name of my house when I used to live in Rome. I studied luxury marketing management at the IED, after I graduated in visual communication design in Seoul. At that time, I dreamed of my own brand, and I wrote a diary.
Within the next 5 years, I will make my own gift shop in Seoul, named after Via Fibreno 10, where my room in Rome was.
And this one sentence made my dreams come true.
Fibreno leather goods sells bags, clutches, tech accessories, and small goods. Please tell us more about your current collection.
My current collection is divided into 3 parts: interior, fashion, and a travel line.
First, I started up with a deskware colletion (interior part) and that expanded into a bag line to carry all my portable deskware lines. Since Fibreno bags became popular, we have extended our bag line.
In addition to the handbags, you also offer a big variety of small leather goods, such as office accessories, interior, and the travel goods. What is this range about?
Since our philosophy are designed products, we are not only concerned about fashion, which means bags. In fact, there are no limits in our design range. When we believe we need this product, we just design and make it.
